Responsible for providing financial management support to VEVO, including participating in the general accounting close cycle and financial reporting process. The role will also assist in the monthly forecasting, budgeting, ad sales invoicing and preparation of departmental reports, in addition to ad hoc reporting and special projects. The ideal candidate will be a CPA and have 4-6 years of general ledger and /or corporate reporting experience and possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field of study.
Review general ledger activities, including journal entries and financial statements for the month, quarter and annual accounting cycles
• Oversee timely and accurate statement reporting for VEVO’s rights holders
• Prepare monthly departmental financial reports and quarterly forecasts to provide corporate and financial management with a realistic estimate of full year financial results vs. the budget and the previous forecast, including an explanation of significant changes
• Work with Ad Operations and Internal/External Sales personnel to ensure advertising revenue reporting is accurate and timely
• Oversee campaign invoicing process
• Prepare audit schedules for finance, rights and revenue share partner audits, as needed
• Maintain operational procedures which adequately address internal controls, including updating procedures as necessary and periodic testing to ensure operations are in compliance with established procedures
• Supervise a staff of one
• Assume ownership of other responsibilities and ad hoc projects, as necessary
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 4-6 years work experience
• CPA preferred
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar mainframe General Ledger application
• Online advertising experience a plus
• Strong PC skills, especially in MS-Excel, with experience in manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data using pivot tables and vlookups
• Strong analytical and organization skills
• Ability to work independently and/or in a team-oriented environment, including supervision of staff and the ability to interact with other business units to resolve questions, problems and/or requests for information
• Complete understanding of on-line accounting systems. Additionally, requires a high degree of competence with computers to be able to upload and download information to and from the financial systems for additional manipulation
