Western Regional Finance Manager

We are seeking a full-time Finance Manager for our Western Region located in Simi Valley. This position reports to the Senior Director, Region Finance. You will serve as the Financial and Business Officer with responsibilities for K12 managed schools within the region including the following:

* All financial activities and business processes
* Develop annual budgets, monthly forecasts and variance analysis
* Review and issuance of monthly financial statements
* Implementation and ensure compliance with K12 and school finance policies, internal controls and business processes
* Assist in the development of grant and other funding opportunities
* Timely and accurate submissions for state and federal funding programs to include funding determinations, audit responses and interim financial reports
* Assist with school audits and ensure all tax filings are prepared and submitted
* You will also be responsible for performing the following duties:
* Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial results to school board of trustees
* Assist in development and implementation of school and K12 strategic plans
* Negotiate contracts and agreements

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance along with 10+ years experience in finance, including demonstrated experience in financial planning, forecasting and business/financial management; CPA/MBA desirable. This motivated team player also possess the following experience, skills, abilities and attributes:

* School or non-profit accounting (501(c)3) a plus
* Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing business processes and controls
* Excellent communication and presentation skills required
* Advanced MS Excel skills required
* Highly entrepreneurial
* Strategic thinker; ability to see the big picture
* Process and service oriented
* Strong business acumen; analytical and attentive to details
* Highly ethical with strong personal values
* Self-starter that is motivated with the ability to operate with little supervision
