Job Description PURPOSE:
Responsible for evaluating the performance of the lease and retail portfolio. Make recommendations to senior management regarding the effectiveness of credit policy and any changes that may be required.
Responsibilities
1. Develop, monitor, and validate credit related scoring models across the spectrum of the credit cycle, including application scorecards, collection models, behavioral scorecards, and loss recovery models.
2. Manage the activities of work group members by providing opportunities for growth and development. Foster an environment of open and honest communications, teamwork, creativity, and high involvement, productivity/efficiency.
3. Analyze and interpret the performance of existing scorecards.
4. Develop a credit policy for new accounts and account management strategies for existing accounts
5. Implement effective communication/education of credit policy and scorecards to internal employees and dealer network.
6. Manage credit bureaus relationship regarding zip code preference and related risk products. Analyze and interpret the performance of existing zip code preferences to determine the correct alignment of bureaus based on predictability and completeness of data.
7. Identify opportunities to limit credit risk exposure of MMCA’s Retail and Lease portfolios.
8. Coordinate with operations and third party service providers to ensure effective implementation of Credit Risk strategies.

REQUIRED:
• 5 – 8 years exempt-level financial industry experience, including 3 – 5 years performing predictive model development and portfolio performance analysis.
• BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED:
• MBA or other appropriate advanced degree.
• Experience in Auto Finance industry
