Job Description:     Universal Music Group, Human Resources department, located in Santa Monica, CA is currently seeking a Coordiantor to provide administrative support to one of our HR Generalists and our Recruiting Department.

HR Responsibilities:

• Builds and maintains strong ongoing relationships with clients throughout the business.
• Provides general administrative support to Recruiting and Director of Human Resources.
• Prepares and processes personnel actions (new hires, promotions, etc.).
• Responds to inquiries and requests from clients.
• Works with HR team to problem-solve HR challenges in areas like employee relations, compensation, benefits, etc.
• Utilizes cutting edge HRIS systems to research issues and gather data to support HR decision-making.
• Conducts new employee orientation.

Recruiting Responsibilities:
• Answering phones
• Posting open positions via internal recruiting system
• Researching potential recruiting avenues
• Setting up interviews
• Conducting reference checks
• Other duties as assigned
• Attend recruiting fairs

Internship Program responsibilities:
• Handle all incoming intern requests from hiring managers seeking interns
• Continue building relationships with colleges and universities
• Manage all intern paperwork
• Manage any intern issues that may arise
• Partner with hiring managers and HR Executives
Job Requirements:     • 1-2 years professional / work experience in a large, complex organization
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
• Flexibility, initiative, detail-oriented
• Computer experience: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Experience in PeopleSoft, preferred
• Must have strong interest in Human Resources and Recruiting
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and able to work with all levels of management
• Must have outgoing personality
• Comfortable speaking to large groups of people
