BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Assist staff members, as directed and prioritized by the Facilities or Project Manager, in the completion of general building and facilities maintenance efforts.
Provide technical advice and insight to staff members in all facets of facility maintenance as required.
Perform general building maintenance and repairs in all assigned areas with specific emphasis on HVAC/Central plant control and operation.
Travel in company vehicle to Oakley off-site buildings and local supply companies. Knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in area(s) of specialty.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Perform a variety of tasks as directed.
Work under general supervision and reports to the Facilities Project Manager.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Qualifications
Must speak, read and write English fluently.
Ability to work overtime and weekends defined.
A high school diploma and 5-15 years of experience in the facility maintenance with specific understanding of technology and HVAC based applications.
Specific knowledge of hand/power tools/meters along with advanced electrical theory and general maintenance/construction techniques.
Valid California drivers license.
PLUS FACTORS:
Certification in trades specific to the position (HVAC/plumbing/etc.).
High degree of self motivation.
Ability to resolve facility related issues as they are observed and direct technical staff.
Ability to track and follow up on open issues.
Enhanced interpersonal and customer service skills.
