Primary Responsibilities:
• Originate new business opportunities/clients within the Interactive and Digital Commerce markets
• Build relationships with leading Marketing Executives who are seeking partnerships to invest, optimize, and improve the performance of their marketing investments, specifically in the areas of online marketing platforms and media campaigns
• Help clients understand the value of online marketing as a key strategy
• Help clients understand the technology platforms that support key Ecommerce activities
• Be a client advocate
• Manage the relationship with key clients, and bring other team members to support the relationship management plan
• Expand business with clients by becoming a trusted advisor and using the full range of Sapient services to achieve their objectives
• Leverage Sapient’s unique blend of Interactive and Consulting services to create Client Success and expand Sapient’s business
• Lead the business development strategy by “quarterbacking” the media team, strategy/plan team, client services, user experience and other domains to deliver prospective client presentations, proposals, and quotes to secure new client relationships
• Meet or exceed annual sales quota based on new client acquisition
Experience Guidelines:
• A minimum of 7-10 years new business development/client leadership within Marketing, Advertising and Interactive Media. Experience within interactive agency preferred
• Experience in business development within “traditional” consulting services such as Business/IT Strategy, Application design and development and Ecommerce systems design and development strongly desired
• Track record of meeting/exceeding annual sales quota based on new client acquisition
• Strong relationships within the West Coast region
• Team player who can work with multiple departments to deliver results
• A self starter who is resourceful and creative with their approach to getting things done
• Excellent written and verbal communications
Education:
Undergraduate business degree, MBA, or business background preferred
