The primary reason businesses and merchants sign up to use our card and check processing service is to (a) get paid fast and (b) lower their cost of payment acceptance. The biggest element in a merchant’s total cost of payment acceptance is the number of “bad payments” they accept, be it bad checks or fraudulent cards, and the number of those “bad payments” that do not get collected. This position will report to the head of the Risk function and the primary role of the Manager is to lead the Business and Data Analysts by developing and maintaining cutting edge loss prevention products and techniques in the markets we serve.

Skills:
• Leadership Skills: Manage a team by motivating, guiding, supporting, providing thought and analytical leadership and driving execution of key projects.
• Project Management Skills: Work to identify, validate and test external data sources. Determine and craft project and business requirements as well work with internal partners, including information technology, product and operations to successfully deliver enhancements.
• Financial Acumen: Has ability to quickly grasp the revenue and profit drivers to any business. Responsible for loss forecasting, reserve setting and financial planning of credit losses.
• Predictive Model Building and Analytic Skills: Has passion in analyzing data, drawing appropriate conclusions, able to effectively summarize and communicate findings and create strategies to translate statistical findings to business strategies that positively impact the business and customer.
• Critical Thinking: Convert analytical insights into strategies that drive reductions in bad check rate for our customers
• Reporting & Performance Tracking: Creating daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports for customers as well as management
• Communication and Presentation Skills: Demonstrated persuasive written and verbal communication skills with ability to establish logical flow and story to present complex information in an easy to understand way.
• Interpersonal Skills / Team Work: Ability to work well with others, not just at a social level, but by building bridges and sometimes confronting tough issues that need to be resolved for the best of the business.
• Personality Traits: High degree of Initiative, Integrity, Outspoken, Servant Leadership type management style, Driven (while being a team player) & Strong Attention to Detail
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in quantitative field such as Statistics, Math, Economics or an MBA
• 5+ Years Work Experience in Payments or Financial Services
• Experience managing people and leading teams in similar environments
• Experience with building predictive models, ETL Processes & Data Analytics
• Advanced SQL, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word and MS Power Point Skills
