Job Summary


This position is responsible for conducting analyses to support Client’s contracting and implementation activities. These analyses will be integral to the planning and successful execution of supply chain initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and measure cost savings.    This position will work closely with the client and internal teams to collect raw data, generate output, and interpret results. Intelligence generated from the analyses are required to be in a presentation-ready format that client stakeholder groups may use to understand the opportunity or realized benefit of supply agreements. The analyst becomes the focal point for information collection and daily interface with Broadlane’s Procurement Services.  Significant collaboration between Broadlane Corporate, client stakeholders and internal team members will keep all parties apprised of the status of initiatives related to the sourcing initiative is a critical function. Reporting updates and outcomes to various stakeholder groups are integral to this position and requires interface with various levels within the client organization.  The Supply Chain Analyst will have significant interaction with various members of the Broadlane team on a daily basis and will prepare reports, perform analysis, and evaluate opportunities to achieve cost savings goals for the client. This position will report to the Vice President, Procurement Services.


Essential Job Functions




  •   Serve as a single point of contact, leveraging Broadlane’s resources and tools, to facilitate the completion of analytical requests made by Client.






  •   Manage multiple projects and communicate deliverables necessary to meet agreed upon deadlines.  Identifies risks, anticipates obstacles and recommends a proactive plan to mitigate.  Appropriately escalate barriers to meeting timelines and deliverables 






  •   Perform analyses necessary for implementation planning with stakeholders and report progress to key stakeholders and executives to manage expectations and achieve a successful implementation.






  •   Contribute as a consultative resource to help generate and interpret Broadlane standard reports and applications






  •   Develop business insights based on analysis of results, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making






  •   Establish and maintain relationships with the client’s procurement and supply department and information technology departments for purposes of facilitating  data collection from client systems






  •   Support senior management in gathering and preparing data metrics for customer business reviews and quantify the financial impact of any applicable incentives and/or penalties related to performance levels in agreements






  •   Perform analyses required for reconciling supplier rebate payments.Required Skills






  •   3-5 years of progressive business experience working with data in a marketing analytics and/or business intelligence capacity Work with multiple disparate data sources including Accounts Payable, PO file history, EDI and ERP transactions, price files and supplier sales reporting






  •   Proficiency in large database manipulation through standard access tools, such as SQL (MS-Access, SQL Server), and reporting tools (Business Objects, Cognos, Crystal Reports and MS Reporting Services). Proficient in MS PowerPoint.  Advanced Excel skills a must






  •   Strong communication skills to collaborate with various constituencies to understand requirements and interpret findings






  •   Thorough understanding of analytical processes and tools, exhibit attention to detail and strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently






  •   Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and resolve competing priorities






  •   Weighs options carefully and suggests appropriate plan of action.  Knows when and how to take action and overcome obstacles elevating issues when unclear on next steps






  •   Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats with clients, suppliers, colleagues and various levels of management






  •   Develop polished executive-level presentations and confidently present the information to internal business associates and external clients in a clear and concise fashion to guide the audience to the desired end-result






  •   Proactively identify issues, demonstrate creativity in developing alternative solutions and recommend the best course of action as it relates to data collection and development of analyses






  •   Quickly comprehend the desired end-result, goals or objectives as communicated by executive management and determine the necessary operational tasks and procedural steps necessary to accomplish objectives.
