Description
The Department of Psychology at Azusa Pacific University is seeking applications for a full-time undergraduate faculty position beginning Fall 2009. The position is open until filled. Responsibilities include teaching courses in the areas of psychology of the exceptional child, child clinical interventions, child and adolescent development and other courses within the candidate’s specialty. The candidate will be expected to mentor undergraduate research, share in student advising and actively participate in departmental and university life. Position subject to final funding.
Level
Assistant/Associate Professor, Full-time 9 or 10 month contract.
Qualifications
Requirements: Ph.D. or Psy.D. from a regionally accredited program, experience with child assessment and clinical interventions, demonstrated research potential and a strong commitment to quality teaching and the mentoring of undergraduate research. Candidates must be able to communicate their Christian faith and how they integrate their faith in the classroom.
Experience
Experience with child assessment and clinical interventions required, previous teaching experience, demonstrated research potential, and mentoring of student research preferred.
Workload
Faculty will teach 24 units for a 9-month contract or 27 units for a 10-month contract. Three teaching units may be replaced with research activities. Additional release time for research may be negotiable.
