Description
Full-time 11-month faculty position teaching in the K-12 Multiple Subject Program in Teacher Education. Faculty are responsible for teaching in at least one of the following pedagogical areas: math, science, reading/language arts, or social studies. There are opportunities to teach courses such as Diversity in the Classroom and Foundations of Education. Field supervision of credential candidates in multicultural settings is a standard component of the assignment. Responsibilities also include advising liberal studies and teacher education students, participating in scholarly and service activities, and collaborating with public and private schools. Position subject to final funding.

Qualifications
Commitment to Christian education; minimum three years of full-time successful teaching experience in public elementary or middle school systems; Ph.D. or Ed.D. in education or a related field; ABD will be considered; an ongoing program of scholarly research and publications in the field of education.
Experience
Higher education teaching experience preferred; Experience in K-12 settings, as well as supervising or mentoring student teachers preferred; Scholarly research and publications in the field of education; C.L.A.D.; Bilingual background, or experience in multi-ethnic settings strongly preferred; Experience with assessment and educational technology applications preferred; Ability to collaborate on intra-departmental issues and tasks preferred.
