Integration & Test Manager #08-281

Job Duties & Responsibilities


    * Responsible for direction and management test engineers and technicians in Engineering.
    * Will ensure consistency of methods, tools and processes to ensure meeting project objectives and customer satisfaction. 
    * Will design automated and semi-automated test stations for avionics, payloads, electrical propulsion systems and ground control stations.
    * Will develop design criteria for self test and built in test for prime hardware and software.
    * Will generate Qualification documents per Mil-Std- 810 and
      Mil-Std 461 and manage enviromental qualification acitvities.
    * Documents designs with engineering drawings and written descriptions.
    * Writes fabrication and test procedures.
    * Supports flight test operations, some travel may be required.
    * Performs design engneering using electronic software.
    * Will manage hardware and software integration and validation of prime equipment.
    * Will manage department budgets, recruit and train staff, and establish goals and objectives for employees.
    * Other duties include authorizing and approving time charges,conducting personnel development, perform employee counseling, and, AeC maintain technical competence by being a contributing member to a project team.




Required Qualifications & Background

    * BS degree in an electrical engineering discpline, as a minimum.
    * 10+ years experience in engineering management.
    * Must have experience designing electrical and electronic circuits and their associated development tools.
    * Must have worked in integration and test environment for 10+ years.
    * Comprehensive knowledge of engineering disciplines.
    * Aerospace and/or UAV experience a plus.
    * Familiarity with RF comm systems, antenna design and associated software a plus.
    * Excellent verbal and written skills - Leadership experience -
      Team Player.
    * Must have experience with group motivation and discipline skills.
    * Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    * Must have planning, risk management, and scheduling experience.
    * Familiar with software tools in their area of expertise.
    * Will work on government contracts.
    * Familiar with office software and computer based productivity
      tools.
