Senior Parts / Components Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Level EEE Parts / Components Engineer in our Torrance location.

Responsibilities
Individual will have a background in electronics with a basic understanding of techniques, materials and construction of some or all of the following commodity types:  integrated circuits and hybrids, RF/Microwave devices, discrete semiconductors and passive devices, all of which are used in high reliability space system applications.

Essential Duties
·    Development of part specifications, test procedures, etc.
·    Assist in part selection
·    Provide technical assistance to contracted tests labs and part manufacturers
·    Provide basic customer applications assistance
·    Coordinate with internal Procurement and Quality Assurance departments to assure quality and on-time delivery

Requirements
·    Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent field
·    5 years related experience working with space/military parts and applications
·    Background in applications and failure analysis
·    Significant experience with of U.S. MIL and NASA specifications as they relate to military and space level parts
·    Proven track record in providing excellent customer service and a commitment to quality
·    Good oral and written communication skills
·    Team oriented self starter
·    Able to work independently
·    No clearance required
·    Candidate must have demonstrated component engineering experience with space and MIL level electronic components – others need not apply for this position.
