Description
Full responsibility for multiple project schedule coordination and tracking within a fast paced product development environment.
Lead cross functional team throughout new product introduction process.
Fully responsible for the mechanical/technical development of new eyewear models including mechanical engineering, tooling, fixtures, work instructions, bill of materials, and technical drawings.
Communicate project status to department manager and applicable departments.
Institute continuous improvement and cost reduction programs.
Limited travel to international factories.
Work within global military requirements and specifications.
Qualifications
B.S. in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Strong knowledge and understanding of general metal manufacturing techniques and injection molding.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, JIT, Set-Up Reduction, etc.
Excellent communication skills with ability to interface effectively with co-workers ranging from senior vice presidents to product assembly team members.
Proficient in at least one CAD software package (AutoCad/Solidworks/Rhinoceros).
Proficient in Excel and Word.
Previous experience in military operations, protocol, research, testing and training.
PLUS FACTORS:
Previous project management experience.
Former special forces commando in SEALs, Delta, Green Beret or Rangers.
Hands on experience with metal fabrication and/or injection tool shop experience.
Previous product development/manufacturing project management experience.
Previous eyewear development/optical lens manufacturing experience.
Basic knowledge of page layout software (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
Eyewear and/or action sports retail sales experience.
Bilingual: English and Chinese/Japanese/Italian
Passion for life outside of work such as motocross, mountain biking, surfing, skiing, skydiving, scuba.
