Center Director
PRIMARY PURPOSE

Under minimal direction this position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the blood center that may include human resource management donor recruitment mobile and fixed site collections component preparation/labeling hospital services general accounting functions and facilities management. Serves as primary contact with the community donors mobile sponsors and hospitals served on all issues affecting the blood center or community blood program.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge & Education
Bachelor’s degree in related field required. General knowledge of community organizations and resources preferred.

Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated leadership skills. Good supervisory skills with the ability to effectively motivate and develop personnel. Effective oral and written communication skills. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter with good organization skills. Flexible able to deal with change and unpredictability. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and assignments. Must be decisive have good analytical skills and results oriented. Proficient computer skills.

Experience
Five years related experience required. Three years supervisory experience required. Prior blood center or health care industry experience preferred.
