Description
The Human Resources Manager is a strategic partner to their dedicated area of the business. The HR Manager is responsible for identifying HR solutions to business opportunities that are in alignment with company and HR strategy and deliver business value. In partnership with market leadership, the Human Resources Manager oversees and provides guidance and support on workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, succession planning, compensation management and retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively partner with market leaders to anticipate human capital needs and develops plans that can be effectively executed. This includes but is not limited to staffing, retention, organizational development, succession planning, and leadership development.
Utilize management metrics and associate feedback tools to enhance organizational efficiency, improve management quality and effectiveness, make recommendations to assist in improvement of profitability, improve associate performance, and improve employee retention
Actively participate in the selection of key positions in affiliated offices.
Coach and advise market leadership on best ways to manage performance.
Collaborate with market leadership to determine training needs and oversees training programs and other learning activities that include both regulatory compliance and those that enrich performance.
Counsel and advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Oversee effective execution of the performance appraisal process to ensure employees and affiliated dentists regularly receive meaningful performance feedback
Oversee wage and salary reviews to ensure increases reward good performance and are fairly administered.
Educate market leadership on and ensure compliance of human resource policies and procedures. May represent organization in response to personnel-related investigations and regulatory hearings.
Participate and provide input into various HR initiatives, programs and policies and ensure excellent execution within their areas.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in business, psychology, human resources mgmt or equivalent experience
5+ years related human resources experience in a multi state and multi location environment
Successful track record for getting results
Ability to both think strategically and act tactically as necessary
Demonstrated ability to build productive partnerships and collaborate with others
Demonstrated ability to drive and manage change
Ability to be flexible and successfully handle conflicting priorities in a fast paced work environment
Excellent communication skills
Extensive employee relations experience, including investigations. Knowledge of and ability to apply applicable state and federal regulations
Good command of Microsoft office: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. HRIS system experience a plus
Ability to travel 20% of time
