Job Description
Position Summary:
To establish and maintain relationships with existing builder accounts based on expectations established in the working agreement. To solicit and sell our insurance program to regional and National builders.
Position Responsibilities/Major Duties Including, But Not Limited To:
1) This position requires knowledge of the availability of our insurance products by state and carrier. Knowledge of our relationships with our builder partners various divisions, affiliated lenders, title and escrow companies.
2) Maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers.
3) Solicit new builder accounts targeting homebuilders in the top 16 – 60 of the Builder 100.
4) Training, follow-up meetings, and other correspondence with builder partner offices to ensure we are receiving leads and maintaining adequate sales ratio.
5) Organize and prioritize daily responsibilities based on order of importance to meet department requirements and performance expectations. Scheduling meetings with sources, attending builder industry events, etc.
6) Perform other work related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions / Equipment Used:
The position requires the account manager to monitor, prioritize, and organize daily work based on performance criteria and working agreement. The position requires extensive travel to provide program training to all builder divisions within area of responsibility. Minimum travel required is twice a year to each division, or more than twice a year in strategic target areas. Light physical activity in a work environment that involves normal physical risks, i.e. lifting.
Required Skills
Knowledge Areas:
* Excellent Communication Skills - Verbal and Written
* Sales Knowledge related to Property / Casualty insurance products for multiple states and multiple carriers.
* Experience in Marketing.
* Sales skills involving business to business transactions
* Basic Personal Computer Skills in Windows based programs
Required Experience
Minimum Job Requirements:
Three to five years increasingly complex job experience in Insurance Sales or Marketing with a current Property & Casualty Agent’s License or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience as a minimum to perform the job. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business is preferred.
