Essential Job FunctionsIs


accountable for the Broadlane-client relationship for their assigned client.  Develops and maintains executive relationships at the highest levels of the organization.  Becomes a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all supply chain matters.Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction, achieving designated customer satisfaction objectives for their assigned client.Develops an annual Broadlane operating budget (revenue and expense) for their assigned client consistent with company and clients’ goals; the revenue budget is prepared at the client/service line level of detail.Is accountable for the attainment of the agreed operating budget and other performance measures for their assigned client; directs Broadlane resources to produce desired financial results and is accountable for developing specific project tasks that directly relate to Broadlane’s contractual obligations; e.g., contract conversion planning.Develops an annual work plan for their assigned client; the work plan outlines all planned initiatives and anticipated financial results (financial savings targets) relative to Broadlane’s contractual obligations to the client.Is accountable for reporting periodically to their assigned client the value delivered by Broadlane and status against the annual work plan.May manage a professional account management team including team member selection, performance management, coaching, account assignment and oversight.If appropriate, ensures that each account team member is provided ongoing, relevant training and education regarding Broadlane’s programs, contracts, tools and job responsibilities.May manages the day-to-day operations of their account team, leveraging the Broadlane support infrastructure as required.Is accountable for expanding the Broadlane relationship with their assigned client through the cross-selling of Broadlane’s full portfolio of services.Supports, as requested, the Sales team in the pursuit and securing of new Broadlane clients.Leads the implementation of new facilities acquired by the client.Represents, as requested, Broadlane at industry events, industry committees and public speaking opportunities.Requires 80% travel to client sites by commercial airliner and automobile.Required SkillsIndustry skills:  Strong understanding of healthcare provider supply chain operations.Interpersonal skills:  Possesses an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to rapidly establish credible relationships with a broad range of individuals.  Ability to build peer-to-peer relationships with senior level hospital and IDN administrative and clinical executives.  Ability to engage effectively with the most senior executives and at the Board level in client organizations.Communication skills:  Ability to communication effectively and persuasively both orally and in writing; ability to negotiate with and influence others.Leadership skills:  Ability to build strong, collaborative and trustful relationships.  Ability to mobilize teams and accomplish objectives through others.  Ability to make sound business judgments.  Ability to work on assignments independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.Analytical skills:  Ability to develop the best methods of achieving client and Broadlane objectives utilizing the full range of Broadlane services and collaboration with the client.Management skills:  Ability to develop and execute pragmatic action plans and to drive activities of internal and external resources to achieve the customer’s objectives.  Ability to anticipate potential problems and to recommend and implement effective remedial action.  Ability to manage an account team and to oversee multiple client relationships simultaneously.Computer skills:  Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; knowledge of Access is a plus.Required Experience and EducationTwelve or more years of experience in a management role in an acute-care hospital setting or in healthcare-related businesses.Prior P&L responsibility.Experience in acute care healthcare settings preferred.Prior supply chain management or client service experience strongly preferred.Completion of a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; completion of graduate program preferred.
