We are currently looking to hire a Director of Client Management within our Santa Monica, CA office.

Description:

As a Director of Client Management, you are responsible for building key client accounts that truly reflect the "trusted advisor" principles. This includes consulting on study and questionnaire design, developing issue-focused analysis through regular and ad hoc reporting/presentations and expanding client deliverables beyond scope of project to provide insight on industry and like-product trends. As a Director you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategic account plans. You are also responsible for developing and leading a team.

Responsibilities

•    Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with your direct client contact(s).
•    Own your senior-level client relationships.
•    Develop relationships with both leaders in the research group as well as the marketing group.
•    Collaborate across the MB business to bring in, whenever possible, specialists that can deliver best in class solutions to your clients.
•    Develop proposals in partnership with Research Planning, owning the writing, the pricing and the incorporation of relevant case studies.
•    Play a leading role in the strategic account planning process.
•    Understand your clients core business issues and ways to solve them through our research solutions.
•    Lead client discovery sessions leading up to questionnaire development.
•    Deliver outstanding, insightful analysis aligned to the analytic plan.
•    Proactively synthesize learning across multiple sources in order to deliver compelling stories.
•    Deliver outstanding presentations to your client's wider stakeholder audience.
•    Have a good grasp of financial management in order to deliver against revenue goals.
•    Ensure you receive regular status reports and take the necessary action when issues arise.
•    Take a proactive approach to learning about your clients upcoming research needs, budget allocations, etc. to inform forecasts.
•    Be an inspiring role model though your presence and actions; enhance our brand in the industry.
•    Demonstrate a strong partnership with Research Planning and ensure that other members of the team have a clear understanding of roles to ensure smooth project work flow and quality of delivery.
•    Set SMART objectives and clear performance goals that are closely aligned to overall company and regional goals.
•    Set high and clear standards for talent in the team.
•    Provide coaching and feedback on specific skill development for your direct reports and ensure they are doing the same for their direct reports.


Requirements

•    Bachelors Degree in Marketing or other related field
•    Minimum seven (7) years of experience working in a client facing, quantitative marketing research role
•    Minimum four (4) years of management experience
•    Experience with advertising, advertising testing and tracking and other marketing research techniques
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Proven abilities in: development research reports, data analysis and interpretations and presentation preparation and delivery
•    A flair for building new relationships and nurturing existing relationships with internal and external clients
•    Excellent analytical skills; keen ability to recognize and articulate the story
•    Proven ability to grow existing business and build new business
