BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Work as the liaison between Graphics, Retail and Production.
Set up and maintain weekly status meeting.
Prepare and manage timelines for collateral projects in the Graphics Department.
Ensure that incoming job requests are filled out completely and contain all information needed to assign a job number.
Ensure that all collateral projects are kept on schedule, and that the physical flow of work is managed efficiently.
Prepare proofs for circulation/approval, and ensure that all changes are executed.
Track all collateral project expenditures and adhere to annual budget. Report on project expenses at project completion.
Organize and maintain file archiving system.
Assist Traffic Manager with various administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Minimum of one year of proven experience in a Traffic position at a marketing agency, publishing, internet, or production company environment.
Must possess and exhibit a solid understanding of creative workflow for print; ability to motivate creative staff to meet deadlines and schedules.
Strong PC/Microsoft office skills (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Must have strong time-management skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Two-year college degree (four-year degree preferred) in related field, or equivalent experience.
PLUS FACTORS:
Experience with Filemaker Pro and Infowit.
Exposure to Quark, InDesign, Illustrator and creative software programs.
Experience dealing with Retail markets.
