Job Title: Research Analyst/Academic Affairs /Part-time 16 hours per week
Description:
The Research Analyst supports the Director of Outcomes Assessment and Interprofessional Education Research (DOAIPER) in the Office of Academic Affairs by conducting data analysis, coordination, and reporting.
Description of Duties and Tasks
Essential Job Functions
1. Manage data collection processes, including web-based surveys, paper questionnaires, and existing databases.

2. Prepare raw survey and assessment data for analysis by retrieving, coding, importing, and conducting integrity checks.
3. Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses and prepare reports for internal distribution, using SPSS, Excel, and other tools.
4. Under supervision of the Director, conduct advanced analyses, oversee research design, and prepare reports for external publication.
5. Provide coordination support for the director and for the Center for Academic and Professional Enhancement, as needed to manage special events.

1. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SPSS and Microsoft Excel.
2. Intermediate to advanced computer skills necessary for database management and report generation, to set up document formats in Microsoft office, and any other software programs required by the position and familiarity with the use of the Internet.
3. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organization skills.
4. Creative, innovative, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Qualification Standards
1. Education:
A bachelor's degree with coursework in research methods and statistical analysis, preferably within the social sciences.
2. Experience:
Experience (1-3) years and proven ability in retrieving, analyzing, and presenting data in written, graphical, and oral formats to various audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. A master's degree and/or doctoral program work in educational research, evaluation, or psychology.
2. Prior experience working in higher education research.
3. Experience (1-3) years with web-based survey and reporting software. Some experience with student information systems (such as Banner).
