Position Summary
The VP, Sales - Bakery will work with the Sales and Marketing team to profitably develop and grow the retail sales channel for The Cheesecake Factory brand as well as The Dream Factory brand to maximize shareholder return and contribute to the overall success of The Cheesecake Factory, Incorporated.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute the strategic and tactical sales plans for the Bakery, with emphasis on continued expansion into new retail sales channels and markets.
- Work with sales and marketing to deliver key strategies to include: customer segmentation, pricing rationalization, product innovation and development, and strong brand development in the retail segment.
- Leverage current key relationships and ongoing development of new customers and segments to grow the retail business.
- Work with VP of Distributor Sales to become familiar with distributor sales team, brokers, current customers, products offered, and develop an overall understanding of this channel of sales for bakery.
- Build industry presence in retail trade through targeted marketing and key industry event participation
- Work closely with the President to understand company culture and history and to develop and create retail sales team.
- Provide overall strategic thought leadership to the bakery sales department to motivate and increase sales
- Achieve or exceed targeted sales objectives by developing and working with a strong retail sales team.
- Coach, develop and motivate all direct reports in sales channel.
- Instill a culture of continuous improvement and fast paced execution within the bakery sales team to achieve desired results.
