The California Member Services Call Centers (CA MSCC) Reporting group is seeking an exceptional Senior Reporting Developer / Analyst to create new and support existing reports and reporting applications that improve operational efficiencies within the CA MSCC. Primarily this position will create new SQL and Crystal XI based reports, and support existing reports. This position has the potential of converting into a permanent position.


Job Responsibilities:
* Maintain and support complex user reports.
* Work in partnership with management, business users, IT developers and subject matter experts to understand and develop report requirements
* Develop, create and document complex custom reports
* Participate in the development and support of new and existing MSCC CA reports utilizing PL/SQL, Crystal reports, and other tools.
* Review and test reporting code.
* Provide and update report/program documentation.
* Work closely with business partners to understand their changing needs and make appropriate recommendations to new and existing reports.
* Communicate effectively to team members, management and IT partners.
* Plan, schedule and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

* Expert level experience with Crystal reports including Crystal XI experience.
* Must have significant experience with Oracle PL/SQL., SQL Server database or other additional relational database experience highly desired.
* Experience writing stored procedures and views (not just queries)
* Strong SQL knowledge and should be able to write custom SQL extensively including complex stored procedures.
* Experience with PL/SQL query and database tuning and optimization
* Experience in VBA in Excel and Excel Macros
* Strong written, oral communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of audience to gather reporting requirements and analysis
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal skills and quantitative aptitude.
* Ability to develop complex reports, perform root cause analysis, and effectively communicate findings verbally and in writing to senior leadership
* Ability to develop using advanced concepts, techniques and standards.
* Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles.
* Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work and communicate with clients, IT staff, vendors, external partners, System Integrators etc.
* Must be a team player and possess a strong desire to mentor and share best practices for peers
* Ability to maintain standards, prioritize project work to meet customer?s needs.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with limited supervision.
* Experience with data warehousing systems and analytics a plus (similar to Merced Systems).
* Experience in the Healthcare industry/domain a strong plus.
* Experience in Contact Center environment a strong plus.
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar field with equivalent experience desired
