Job Scope
The Signal Processing/Software Developer will support and lead projects to implement software to control systems, filter signals, and extract signals from noise, and will research and implement algorithms for the development of detection, tracking, identification, and classification functions. Signals may originate in acoustic, RF, magnetic or other sensor systems. Software may be used for real-time microprocessor-based embedded software applications, for implementation of user interfaces and simulations under Microsoft Windows applications, and in establishing and maintaining database applications.
Requirements
· A BS in, Engineering or Physics, with a Master’s degree preferred
· Experience in and knowledge of signal processing techniques, filtering, transforms, data sampling, statistical processing, numerical methods, and simulation
· Experience in development and verification of algorithms using MATLAB and preferably SIMULINK
· Experience in development of software in high-level languages, especially C, C++, Visual Basic for Applications, Microsoft Access, and MATLAB. SQL Server a plus
· Experience in implementing an embedded software/firmware application, and/or experience in implementing applications in the Windows environment under .NET
· Experience in design of experiments, data collection, and electrical engineering is a plus
· Ability to understand and implement mathematical representations in software
· Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, organization of thought
· Knowledge and experience in software engineering practices, configuration management, software testing, and software documentation
· US CITIZENSHIP required for security clearance purposes
