Software Developers at Guidance Software are responsible for developing large-scale, high-performance enterprise products, including design, implementation, and version upgrades. Software Developers are expected to provide technical expertise and leadership in their product areas, while adhering to timelines, coding standards, and maintaining the high quality of deliverables that our customers have come to expect. Projects and areas of work include large-scale web and data architecture, web services, secure programming, and multithreaded design.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership in the design, development, and delivery of enterprise security and forensic software, while adhering to strong timelines, coding standards, requirements, and quality.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications in accordance with specifications.
- Create and utilize internal tools, infrastructure, and utilities to improve speed and quality of development.
- Research and automate the analysis of forensic artifacts and 3rd-party technologies.
- Minimum 3-5 years of systems programming and development (C/C++, Java, C#).
- Minimum 3-5 years of object-oriented software work.
- Solid experience with multi-threading and parallel programming.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in the English language.
- Demonstrated ability to develop to system requirements and accurately estimate required resources.
- Ability to handle multiple, often competing, priorities and tasks
- Ability to overcome obstacles, conduct research, and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor or higher level degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Meticulous about producing accurate and precise results.
- DESIRED SKILLS: Familiarity with databases and data-driven software. Experience with performance and scalability engineering. Experience with a wide variety of programming languages and technologies. Previous experience with legal and eDiscovery matters and/or computer forensics. Experience with full software development lifecycle.
